We delve into the exciting world of creative problem-solving! Led by Jeff and Robert, our team is focused on tackling real-world challenges through innovative thinking.
Our current mission, guided by the official project brief, is to identify a problem faced by archaeologists and propose a solution that can help. Here, you'll find updates on our brainstorming sessions, research into possible directions, and discussions as we guide our kids to pick their own topics.
Join us as we explore new ideas, collaborate on solutions, and bring our innovative projects to life!
On Saturday, December 6, 2025, the HardForge Robotics FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) team competed in a regional FLL Qualifying Tournament, delivering an impressive performance in a highly competitive field of more than twenty teams.
For the Innovation Project, HardForge Robotics explored the theme of Preserving Artifacts, focusing on challenges faced by archaeologists in protecting historical objects. The team proposed a concept centered on solutions that are eco-friendly, affordable, and portable, encouraging practical thinking about how engineering ideas can support cultural preservation in the real world.
The Innovation display also reflected the team’s diverse makeup, bringing together students from five schools, four grade levels, and three towns. Throughout the event, the team actively embodied the FIRST LEGO League Core Values of Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun.
While the team excelled in the Robot Game, the Innovation Project score did not place them high enough to advance to the Massachusetts State Championship this season. The students and coaches have taken the judges’ feedback as a valuable learning opportunity and are already planning improvements for future competitions.
HardForge Robotics is proud of the dedication, resilience, and collaborative spirit shown by all team members. This season marked an important first step, and the team looks forward to continuing to learn, grow, and build toward even greater success in the years ahead.
